Why it matters

Come ride a boat.Climate Week has rooftop receptions, invite-only dinners, and panels with the word "nexus" in the title. This is not that. This is the Staten Island Ferry: free, runs 24/7, sails directly past the Statue of Liberty, and is quietly the best harbor cruise in the city. We take the 2:00 boat, look at the skyline, get off at Staten Island, immediately get back on (this is the intermission), and ride home. Back on land by 3:15, in time for whatever evening reception you're pretending you might skip.Who's this for? Founders, investors, operators, students, policy people, and anyone who's hit their panel limit by Thursday. There's no programming and no moderator. Just an hour of open conversation with the people building and funding climate in NYC, while the Statue of Liberty eavesdrops.Details:Meet 1:40 sharp at Whitehall Terminal. The boat leaves at 2:00 whether we're on it or not.The ferry is free. Do not buy a ticket from anyone. Anyone selling you a ticket is selling you a crime. We'll be on the right side heading out. That's the Statue side.If it rains, the boat has an inside. We ride regardless.RSVP so the morning-of note reaches you and I know who to look for.
