Why it matters

Tom Klein, Director of the University of Miami Center for Urban and Community Design, and Jen Posner, Director of the University of Miami Climate Resilience Institute, will join urban planners, designers, and community stakeholders to lead a walking tour of the Gowanus Canal, a formerly polluted industrial channel that has been transformed in the last decade by land use changes encouraging mixed use development and a publicly accessible waterfront esplanade. Please contact Tom Klein, tklein@miami.edu, if you'd like to attend.
